Just go to the bottom of one of those emails you don’t want, and hit ‘Unsubscribe’. It works. Hope that helps. ❤

You’re being ridiculous drama queen and an idiot. Take a breath, read instructions, and figure it out. Heaven help you if you have real problem one day.

Um, all this person has to do as far as I can tell is go to the bottom of the email and click on unsubscribe. I assume that is what it’s for. 😉

I don’t know what the deal is but there is SOMETIMES and unsubscribe button at the bottom of email notification of posts and often it is not there. WordPress needs to do a better job.
And I understand this ladies flipping out…..with the pressures that governments put on all of us it is a wonder that we remain sane at all.

Yelling at Julie is not going to help. She has no power over who is subscriptions. It is wordpress that would be at fault. Contact them.

Get real, harassment by email? LOL!
Add it to your spam filter lady, calm down and get a life.

Why is Julie to blame for something beyond her control? If you want to unsubscribe from her blog, click the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the emails that WordPress is sending.
Typing in all caps, swearing, and acting as though Julie can unsubscribe someone (she can’t) doesn’t help a damned thing.

I just posted that I didn’t see an unsubscribe button. Well, I don’t see it in this blog, but I do see it (it’s not a button, it’s a link) at the bottom of my email notifications. There’s also a “manage subscriptions” button. Maybe Julie can unsubscribe the person with that…?

Julie has no control over who subscribes and who unsubscribes. The subscriber is responsible for unsubscribing.

Here’s the secret way to unsubscribe in 3 easy steps – –
1)Go to an EMAIL that tells you that you have an update from this WordPress site, scroll to the bottom of the email and hit the “unsubscribe” button.
2) Step #1 will take you to the WordPress “Delete Your Subscription” site.
3) Hit the “Confirm Deletion” button. Note that beneath the button there is a notice saying that you are deleting your subscription to “oakparkhatesveggies”
After you hit the “Confirm Deletion” button a new page will appear confirming that your subscription has been deleted.
Easy and you can do it all by your self.

Don’t be such an idiot. Scroll down to the bottom of the email you receive from this blog and click unsubscribe. You’ll get a page that says DELETE YOUR SUBSCRIPTION in huge letters. It sounds like you have some sort of global setting enabled so unless you find it you’ll have to do the same for every blog.
And turn off your capslock. It’s not everyone else’s fault so quit yelling.

At the bottom of the e-mail notice for each post are ways to unsubscribe
WordPress.com | Thanks for flying with WordPress!
Manage Subscriptions | Unsubscribe | Reach out to your own subscribers with WordPress.com.
I clicked on Unsubscribe and it took me to a page asking that I confirm I wanted to Unsub….that is all she needs to do!

why are you reposting these idiotic posts from faultfinding VICTIMS of their own doing? (and starting new blog links and many extra extraneous extrapolations?) AND doing it this way does not even get the messages back to Alice. You just get them instead of the one person who needs them…. 😦

go to the bottom of the email where it says UNSUBSCRIBE…and click on that.

Try this Julie –
Tools -> Subscribers : Allows you [admin] to manually (un)subscribe users by email address, displays lists of currently subscribed users and allows you to bulk subscribe Registered Users

Just emailed that user the following:
“You have to unsubscribe yourself. The author of the blog has no power to subscribe or unsubscribe you. Please see:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/subscriptions/#unsubscribing-from-a-blog
for the documentation on how to do so. Additionally, in EVERY EMAIL you so fervently hate, there is a LINK that says — drum-roll please….
UNSUBSCRIBE
If you click that link, it will give you all of the posts and blogs that you subscribe to. You can unselect them and save your changes there.
I understand your frustration, but please refrain from popping a blood vessel. There is a simple solution if you simply breath and follow directions.
Thanks,
Chris”

She sure is doing a lot of spamming for someone who is flipping out over so-called spam. As has already been demonstrated, people are willing to help her. There’s no need to swear and threaten.
As for those of you who are wondering why Julie is posting these, I imagine she is trying to get this resolved so this woman will quite posting all these messages. Since she is apparently not unsubscribed from the blog every one of these comments should be going straight to her email.

She probably did this, in the upper right-hand corner of the page:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Email Subscription
Enter your email address to subscribe to this blog and receive notifications of new posts by email.
[her_email@her_isp.net]
Sign me up!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Therefore, she has only herself to blame, NOT Julie or anyone who is posting comments.

Right at the bottom of the email, is the big W in a circle. Next to it is a line that says, Manage Subscriptions/Unsubscribe/Reach out to your own subscribers with WordPress.com. Unsubscribing is not instantaneous. Give it a couple days. Sometimes it may take a week.

roflmao…I get ignorant emails like this all the time with our yahoo groups…someone signs up on our yahoo group and then complains that we are sending them too many email…1.) most of the emails are coming from others in the group, not us, and 2.) YOU SIGNED UP…obviously you are signed in some way cause you are able to post…hello…is anybody home…

And if the unsubscribe button doesn’t work (doubtful), add the address the emails are coming from to your spam filter. Voila. If you need instructions on how to do that, don’t ask for them here. And certainly not 20 times in all caps. Google is your friend.

I just sent an email to Alice, after looking at her profile and finding her website:
From Elsah Cort, RN in California
Hello Alice,
I have been noticing a peculiar all caps shouting match that has been appearing on a blog I follow called OakPark Hates Veggies (started and well written by a woman, Julie, who was challenged by her city planning department for planting a vegetable garden in her front yard.)
Somehow your numerous comments posted on her blog appears to have resulted in you getting numerous emails from the blog.
Julie herself is not harassing you, nor is wordpress (I have numerous wordpress blogs and have never seen this issue happen.)
Either you posted an original comment on her blog and checked the button that you wanted to get notifications of all comments posted on her blog, or someone else did it for you, who has access to your email address. Julie’s blog has attracted many, many comments from around the world, and so each time a new comment is posted, anyone who has signed up to receive notices gets an email for each comment. So it could appear to be an onslaught of emails coming to you.
I am also wondering if the all caps comments that have been posted on Julie’s blog are actually coming from you? They don’t seem to match with your message on your website healinghandsminnesota.com.
I, too, do hands on bodywork (craniosacral work) and I have, in the past, used an email address attached to my blog that is supported by the website hosting service. I noticed that when I used the email address attached to that service I would get many more spam emails and have no easy way to block spam. So I now use gmail.com for my email. This email address I am using to send you this message is from gmail via dishnetwork and wild blue satellite internet, which is how I have to get internet service here in the mountains.
You might want to start migrating your email address and email correspondence to a gmail account. Gmail is really good at recognizing and helping you control spam.
If it is actually you, who is continually posting the all caps comments on Julie’s blog, then you are actually perpetuating the problem you are complaining about. It will trigger even more emails coming to you, as your profile will come up for anyone who wants to see who you are. I was directed to your website when I, just now, wanted to see who Alice was that was posting these all cap messages.
By the way, writing in all caps is considered shouting, yelling, ranting, and actually rude for social media commenting……..and it may be why so many people are writing to you. Julie herself, who I don’t know personally, but have connected with in her open struggle to be allowed to have a vegetable garden in her front yard, is not someone who would generate harassment of you. She is actually new to blogs and this internet thing herself, so she posted all your all cap comments directly on her blog asking for help for how to deal with your issue.
I will be glad to personally help you, if I can…..as I know this very email I am sending you is coming to you unsolicited.

The more I look at these all cap comments, the more I question that they are really coming from this woman. I am wondering if someone has hacked her profile. This is just wondering, not paranoia about conspiracy theories. The messages just do not fit with her information on her healing blog at all.

Surely there’s a setting that means you can just block the person from ever posting? LiveJournal has that…

You know, I think it’s mean to post these emails publicly and to make fun of her. I also commented one time and clicked on “notify me of follow up comments” and now am having a devil of a time unsubscribing. There is no “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of any of my emails. There is a link to “manage your subscriptions” and when I click that I have to log into wordpress, but I don’t have a wordpress account. When I enter my email address (the same email address where I get the notifications) it says that there is no wordpress account associated with that email address. It is highly frustrating, and I’m only following one post. I can only imagine if I’d followed the entire blog. I believe this is an interface problem between wordpress and networked blogs. I’m sure the woman has tried all the simple things to solve the problem, so a little less hostility and ridicule, and a little bit more compassion would probably help.

I don’t know any thing about SPAM or how to control it. However, I found this related information (urban farming, uncooperative neighbors) online:
